Are your brand colours actually working for you?
You’ve got your colours. You’re using them. They might even look lovely together…
But your colours are doing more than making things look good. They’re communicating something about your business, and the way you use them can make a real difference to how accessible, consistent and effective your design feels.
In your personalised Brand Colour Audit, I’ll take a proper look at your palette and show you what’s working, what could be working harder and where a few simple changes could make a difference.
Your colours are doing more than making things look pretty
But when you're looking at your own brand every day, it can be really difficult to see your colours the way somebody else does.
Maybe you chose them because you loved them. Maybe somebody else chose them for you. Or maybe you've ended up with a few extra colours along the way and you're not quite sure how they all fit together anymore.
You don't necessarily need to change them, you might just need to understand them better.
Colour is one of the quickest things we notice about a brand.
It can help people recognise you, give them a feel for your personality and even influence how easy your content is to read.
Before someone has read a word about what you do, your colours are already giving them clues about who you are.
That's where my new Brand Colour Audit comes in.
“She took my vision and turned it into a brand I am genuinely proud of. … What sets Amy apart is that she doesn't just design what you ask for - she really understands the purpose behind what you're building and that comes through in every piece of work she produces.”
Holly Banfield, Founder of Twinquility
What you'll get
I’ll take a look at the colours you’re currently using across your website and/or social media and create a personalised audit covering:
✓ What your colours communicate and whether that fits with you, your business and how you want it to feel
✓ Accessibility + contrast - checking how well your colours work together and flagging combinations that could be difficult to read
✓ Your best colour pairings so you know which combinations from your palette work well together
✓ How you're using them - looking at whether your colours are being used consistently and whether each one has a clear job to do
✓ My recommendations - practical things you can change, tweak or use differently to make your palette work harder
You don’t necessarily need a whole new colour palette.
Sometimes a small tweak to a colour, using one colour more consistently, or simply knowing which combinations to use can make a big difference.
“I feel like she really knows my business and my target audience well and I trust her to guide me, whilst at the same time respecting my own preference and experience in my business.”
Kathy & Mike, Gîtes du Marigné
How does it work?
I’ve kept this simple!
2. Tell me a little more (if you want to!)
There’s an optional space in the form where you can tell me what you do, how you'd describe your brand personality or anything you’re unsure about when it comes to your colours. But you don’t have to - I can work from your links.
1. Show me your brand
Get your Colour Audit and fill in the short form with a link to your website and/or social media. That's the only bit I really need from you!
3. Leave the colour investigating to me
I’ll review your brand and put together your personalised Colour Audit and recommendations for you.
Hey, I'm Amy 👋
I'm the designer behind Bloomify.
Creative design for people bringing good things into the world.
I help turn your ideas into meaningful designs that feel like you and connect with the people you want to reach.
Whether I’m working on your whole brand or a smaller piece of design, I care about the thinking behind it just as much as how it looks.
And colour is a big part of that.
Sometimes you just need another pair of eyes to look at what you've already got and say:
This is working.
This could work harder.
And here's what I'd change.
That's exactly what I'll do with your Colour Audit.
“Amy has a real talent for asking thoughtful, strategic questions that help uncover what a brand truly need and then redirecting it with clarity and purpose. … What really stood out was how practical everything was too.”
Hannah Spence

Your Colour Audit is personally reviewed by me, so it won't land in your inbox instantly. I'll send your completed audit within 2–3 weeks. If you want to get started on your colours in the meantime, you can grab my free Brand Colour Toolkit straight away. [link to /colour]

Very little! When you get your Colour Audit, you'll fill in a short form with a link to your website and/or social media. There's space to tell me anything else you'd like me to know too, but that's completely optional.

Nope! I can work from your website and/or social media, so you don't need to dig out colour codes, brand guidelines or anything else before you get started. If you’d like to share your exact HEX codes with me, you can add them to the optional comment box in the form.

This isn't about giving you a whole new colour palette, so no I won’t be telling you to change all your colours. I'll look at what you already have and show you what's working, what could be working harder and where small changes could make a difference.
